You must have heard about Damola, the first black entrepreneur of P.F Chang’s. But this year, he got a new achievement. Let’s see what it is.
Damola Adamolekun, a 35-year-old Nigerian native, has been named the new CEO of Red Lobster. Adamolekun previously made history as the first Black CEO of P.F. Chang’s, an Asian-fusion restaurant chain. His leadership at P.F. Chang’s was marked by success, and now he faces a new challenge at Red Lobster.
Red Lobster recently filed for bankruptcy in Florida, carrying about $300 million in debt. The company plans to close some restaurants and sell itself to its lenders or a higher bidder. Despite these financial struggles, Red Lobster will continue to operate as an independent company, with 544 locations across 44 states in the U.S. and four provinces in Canada.
Adamolekun has been chosen to lead Red Lobster through this challenging time and help the company emerge from bankruptcy. His experience and leadership will be crucial as Red Lobster navigates its future.
