Briana Ambre Houston, known as @ambre_houston on social media, is a dedicated educator with nine years of experience in teaching and social work. With a bachelor’s degree in family and child advocacy and a master’s in education, Houston has spent years understanding the unique needs of students, particularly those who often need extra support, launched Micro-school. As a former public school teacher, Houston recognized that some students, especially those on the autism spectrum, those with ADHD, and gifted students, faced challenges that traditional classrooms couldn’t fully address.
Motivated by her experiences as both an educator and a parent of a child with autism, Houston boldly decided to leave her teaching position to launch her Micro-school. In August 2022, she opened the Differentiated Education and Learning Academy (DELA), a micro-school focused on providing tailored instruction for kindergarten to fifth-grade students. DELA, an “enrichment learning academy,” is designed to meet students’ individual needs across math, English language arts, science, and social studies.
With a dedicated team of professionals, DELA ensures students receive high-quality, customized study support. Houston’s approach goes beyond academics—her team prioritizes students’ educational welfare, working to foster a nurturing environment where every child can thrive. Through innovative teaching strategies and creative resources, Houston aims to equip students, educators, and parents with tools for a positive learning experience that makes a lasting social impact.
Houston’s work with DELA sets an inspiring example, showing how targeted, compassionate education can open new paths for young learners and help them reach their full potential.
