First Black Woman–Owned an Investing App, Wakeza

A powerful new chapter in financial education has begun, thanks to Sabrina Lamb. She has created Wekeza, the first Black woman–owned investing and financial education app designed especially for the African diaspora.

Wekeza is not just an app — it is a bridge. Sabrina built it so people can invest and learn about money in the language they understand best. The app teaches financial education in English, French, Swahili, Hausa, Wolof, Zulu, and Haitian Creole, making it one of the most culturally inclusive platforms in the world.

Sabrina Lamb’s mission is simple: make wealth-building easy, accessible, and relevant for families everywhere. She wants people to feel confident with money, no matter where they come from or what language they speak.

With Wekeza, users can learn how to invest, build savings, and understand the basics of financial freedom — all in a safe and supportive environment created by someone who understands their journey. This historic launch opens new doors for millions of people who were left out of traditional financial systems for too long.

You can visit and check Wakeza.
