LUNA MAGIC, a beauty shop owned by Afro Latino sisters, has achieved a major milestone by securing a deal on the popular show Shark Tank. The brand, known for its vibrant and colorful makeup inspired by the Caribbean and Latin American cultures, caught the sharks’ attention with its unique approach and rapid growth in the competitive beauty market.

A Winning Pitch on Shark Tank

Dominican-American sisters Mabel and Shaira Frías founded LUNA MAGIC with a passion for beauty, culture, and black female entrepreneurship. In 2019, Mabel Frías and her sister Shaira Frías launched their beauty shop, quickly gaining fans, including Cardi B! Their brand grew rapidly and later launched in major retailers like Target, CVS, and Walmart.

In 2021, the sisters took LUNA MAGIC to Shark Tank and accepted a deal with real estate mogul Barbara Corcoran, making LUNA MAGIC one of the few Latina-owned brands to land a deal on the show.

The sisters shared their journey from modest beginnings to building a brand that has gained recognition online and in major stores like Target and Walmart. Their products, including eyeshadow palettes, lipsticks, and beauty tools, are designed to celebrate all skin tones, making beauty accessible to everyone.
