A Couple Creates New Athletic Brand Giving Black Men Peace of Mind

A married couple is turning a simple message into a powerful movement with their new athletic brand, “Don’t Be Alarmed I’m Just Jogging.” Built for Black men who love to run, train, and stay active, this brand focuses on something many people don’t think about — the right to move freely without fear.

The couple behind the brand wanted to create clothing that offers comfort, style, and most importantly, peace of mind. For many Black men, jogging in public can come with unwanted assumptions or danger. Their mission is to remind the world that Black men deserve safety, respect, and the freedom to enjoy outdoor fitness just like anyone else.

Every piece in their collection is designed with purpose. The simple but strong message, “Don’t Be Alarmed I’m Just Jogging,” helps promote visibility and challenges stereotypes that Black men often face in public spaces. The brand encourages confidence, culture, and pride — turning safety into a statement and a style.

What started as a personal idea for protection has now grown into a symbol of strength and community. Runners across the country are embracing the message, showing that something as small as a phrase on a shirt can spark awareness and create change.

The couple hopes their brand inspires more conversations about safety and equality while giving Black men a sense of belonging on every sidewalk, trail, and track. You can check out their collection at dontbealarmedimjustjogging.com.
