Tade Oyerinde Raises Over $100M for First Online Community Campus

Tade Oyerinde, an African American entrepreneur, is making history by changing the way people access college. He has raised over $100 million to expand Campus, the first national online community college in the United States. His goal? To give every student a chance to get a quality education without drowning in student debt.

Launched in 2022, Campus was built to make college affordable and accessible to everyone, no matter where they live. The online college offers real, accredited classes taught by professors from top universities. But unlike traditional schools, Campus focuses on flexibility and affordability. Students can take classes online from home, work part-time jobs, or care for family—all while working toward a degree.

Oyerinde’s success is a major win for the Black community and for students across the country. Raising over $100 million is no small feat. It shows that people believe in his mission to create a better future through education.

Campus works like a traditional community college, but everything happens online. It offers associate degrees that can help students get jobs or transfer to four-year universities. And with its national reach, Campus is helping students from all backgrounds—especially those in underserved communities—take their first step toward success.

As a Black founder leading such an ambitious project, Oyerinde is also inspiring a new generation of entrepreneurs and educators. His work is proof that when we invest in bold ideas, we can create real change.
