Baltimore Couple Brings Tea, Books & Music Together at Cuples Tea House

Baltimore, MD — A married couple in Baltimore is serving something special to the city — and it’s more than just tea. Lynnette and Eric Dodson are the owners and founders of Cuples Tea House and Vinyl & Pages, two local businesses that celebrate flavor, culture, and community all in one welcoming space.

The tea shop and cultural hub are located in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor at Light Street Pavilion, where visitors can enjoy more than 50 types of loose-leaf tea. From herbal blends to black and green teas, customers can sip healthy, flavorful brews while learning about tea culture and its benefits.

“We’re not just a tea house — we’re creating a lifestyle,” the couple says on their website. Cuples Tea House was born from the Dodsons’ vision to offer healthier drink alternatives and to bring people together over meaningful conversations and shared experiences.

What makes their business unique is how it blends different forms of culture. With the launch of Vinyl & Pages in 2023, the Dodsons expanded their space to include music and books. Visitors can browse records, flip through books, and enjoy tea all under one roof. The goal is to make the shop a place where people connect, learn, and spark creative conversations.

The partnership of tea, music, and literature has made Cuples Tea House more than just a place to drink tea, it’s a community hub. The shop hosts events like book talks, music-focused gatherings, and tea tastings that welcome people of all ages.

As Black-owned businesses deeply rooted in Baltimore, Cuples Tea House and Vinyl & Pages are contributing to the city’s cultural and community growth. The Dodsons continue to pour their passion into every cup, playlist, and page showing that small local businesses can make a big impact.
