COCOTIQUE: The Last Black Women-Owned Beauty Subscription Box Needs Your Support

New York, NY – March 4, 2025 — COCOTIQUE, the only Black women-owned beauty subscription box in the U.S., is calling for support this Women’s History Month and beyond. After more than a decade of serving women of color with curated beauty and self-care products, the company is facing a tough challenge. A major marketing and distribution partner stopped selling subscription boxes last fall, limiting COCOTIQUE’s reach and making it harder to connect with new subscribers.

Founded by Dana Hill-Robinson in 2013, COCOTIQUE has been a lifeline for women seeking beauty solutions designed for their unique needs. Every month, subscribers receive a carefully curated box filled with skincare, haircare, cosmetics, and wellness products. The brand has been a powerful platform for Black-owned and Black-founded businesses, giving them much-needed visibility in a beauty industry that often overlooks them.

“We’ve worked tirelessly to create a space where women of color feel seen and valued in the beauty industry,” said Hill-Robinson. “Losing a key distribution partner was a major setback, but we are committed to continuing our mission. Now, we need our community more than ever to help us keep bringing high-quality beauty experiences to our subscribers.”

This Women’s History Month, COCOTIQUE is encouraging people to support in any way they can. Subscribing to the box, gifting a subscription, or even sharing the brand on social media can make a big difference. Every action helps sustain a business that has been a beacon of empowerment and representation for over 10 years.

In line with their mission to uplift Black women entrepreneurs, COCOTIQUE is also giving away a $500 grant this month to a small Black women-owned business. The grant aims to help with start-up costs, offering a boost to businesses trying to make their mark in the beauty and wellness industry.

Supporting COCOTIQUE means more than just receiving beauty products. It’s an investment in a brand that champions economic inclusion, amplifies Black voices, and ensures women of color continue to have access to the beauty solutions they deserve.
