Black Woman Owns Her Own Hotels And Just Raised $2.7M

A Black woman who started her career at a hotel front desk is now making big moves in the real estate world. Davonne Reaves, the founder of Vesterr, has raised an impressive $2.7 million to grow her company — the first Black-owned commercial real estate crowdfunding platform in the country.

Reaves began her journey in hospitality with humble beginnings, working at the front desk and learning the industry from the ground up. Her dedication, experience, and vision eventually led her to become a hotel owner herself. But she didn’t stop there. She wanted to open the doors for more everyday people, especially those who never saw themselves as investors.

That dream became Vesterr, a platform designed to help families and individuals invest in commercial real estate with accessible entry points. Instead of needing millions of dollars, users can now participate in real estate deals that were once out of reach.

Her mission is simple: make property ownership possible for everyone, especially in communities that have historically been left out of wealth-building opportunities.

Reaves’ success shows what’s possible when someone refuses to let their starting point define their future. From hotel front desk staff to hotel owner — and now leading a multimillion-dollar investment platform. Visit her website.
